The Parade Route
The Douglas Halloween Parade is a four-block parade through downtown Douglas, beginning near the Old Schoolhouse History Center and ending at Beery Field. But don’t be fooled by the length of the route—it’s four blocks of action-packed costumes, performances, and fun you’re sure to enjoy.
Main Parade Lineup
Paraders should head to Center Street between the Saugatuck-Douglas History Center Schoolhouse and Ox-Bow House. Look for the four bright searchlights marking the lineup area. Once you arrive, our volunteers will help direct you to the appropriate spot.
VIP Lineup
VIP paraders and select sponsors have a separate lineup area on Mixer Street, directly across from the Ox-Bow party. Look for the outdoor bar and the Great Lakes Brass Band. VIP lineup begins at 9:30 PM.
What to Expect
The parade is led by the Pumpkin King, followed by our VIP paraders and top sponsors, the main parade lineup, and finally the Great Lakes Brass Band, bringing up the caboose.
VIP Spectator Area
The final block of the route, between Borrowed Time and Beery Field, includes a section of spectator space reserved for VIP paraders.
Finding Your Way
Look for the lights. Look for the volunteers. Follow the crowd.
Our volunteers will be stationed along the route to help direct paraders and answer questions. If you're unsure where to go, just look for a parade volunteer—we'll get you where you need to be.
