What time should you be to Downtown Douglas to find close parking?
Anybody’s guess, but we suggest you arrive early, especially if you want to try to eat in a local restaurant or have drinks in a bar as they fill up very early! There is no parking on Center Street, but most of the side streets allow parking on one or both sides of the street.
Our best advice is to make a whole weekend of this event and enjoy the towns! There is plenty to see and do in the Saugatuck and Douglas area before the parade. You can also park downtown Saugatuck and take the Interurban shuttle to avoid the congestion in Douglas.

The Interurban Transit Authority generously runs regular shuttles at no charge and provides on-demand pickup, from anywhere in the Saugatuck Douglas area. Please be patient as they are inundated with riders on parade night. They’ll get to you! If you don’t get through right away, call back.

All three bus stops are near Beery Field. Look for our volunteers with blue bus signs to help direct you to the right stop.
